“Tomorrow at noon on the 29th of November, our second single of 2017, “Incense,” will become available. It’s a song we’ve made in order to pay our respects to and cherish those with whom we’ve spent time but who ultimately passed on before us.

Every day in Korea, about 700 to 800 people pass away. Today, too, many people will leave our sides, each with their own reason. We wanted to share that tragic grief and bring solace. In each of our lives, there are people precious to us that we remember and think back on, and we would be grateful if you would light a stick of incense in your heart for them as you listen to this song with us.”

“In writing this song, we initially set out to remember and share the pains of the Sewol Ferry incident. However, as we began taking a wider perspective, we wanted to write a song that remembered and cherished not only the victims of the Sewol Ferry but also all of the precious people who leave our sides through incidents, accidents, war, illness, suicide, sacrifice, etc. That’s how “Incense” ignited in our hearts and we came up with a song that you can listen to as you sit quietly with your eyes closed.

Today, too, somewhere someone will leave our sides and we will be left behind. Everyone is born into this world, and even if the time each of us spends here is different, we all live a meaningful life before leaving. We dedicate this song to all those who are left behind with their sadness for those who left first, after spending short but brilliantly beautiful days together.

Someday we will meet again.”
